Berries are good for your heart, your blood sugar and your diet! In a study, people who consumed a daily blueberry smoothie showed significant improvements in endothelial function, compared to those who consumed a smoothie without blueberries. Moreover, in a six-week study, obese, insulin-resistant people who consumed a blueberry smoothie twice per day experienced greater improvements in insulin sensitivity than the group who consumed smoothies without berries With all that goodness, how can you not be crazy about berries? Get more berries in your life!

Cinnamon Molasses Granola

I stumbled upon granola when I turned vegan. I was exploring new recipes, as I enjoy doing, and this seemed pretty simple so why not? Im so glad I tried it!    First and foremost, its delicious. Crunchy and slightly sweet. I finished my Tupperware of this stuff in the first week! Its also versatile, granola is not just for breakfast. Before trying this recipe, I had only eaten store bought granola with yoghurt but when I made this I had it with almond milk, sprinkled it on smoothie bowls (like Honest Jar Smoothies), nice-cream and even just ate it on its own as a snack. So many ways to “drink” a smoothie

You gotta love the malleability of food! I've always loved how food can be anything you want it to be, it all up to you and your imagination. And, usually, the result of your imagination is fully edible and sometimes delicious!   Want to have sweetness without sugar? Use a date or some bananas. Want mac and cheese that’s dairy free? We don’t need no resolutions...

Around this time of the year, we seem to have delusions of grandeur when it comes to taking our health seriously and working to improve it. We get ready to make those cliché resolutions, coming up with nifty new ways to stick to them past at least the 4th of January. Maybe you rope in a friend thinking you can keep each other accountable but you just end up pigging out on pizza together on the 1st of January to cure the hangover.
