Banana-Peanut Butter-Almond Butter-Cacao Nibs-Hemp Seed-Dates

Protein! And lots of it! This smoothie is here for you and your gains! We have added every great source of plant-based protein that we could find into this smoothie to give you the protein kick you’ve been looking for. Peanut butter is not just great on a sarmie but its also a yummy source of plant-based protein. You might not taste the hemp seed powder, but be glad its there because it adds an additional 8g of protein to this drink and the cacoa make up in taste what they may lack in protein.

Banana

We’ve all heard that bananas are loaded with potassium but why do we care? Well, a lack of potassium can cause muscle cramps (ouch!). But never fear because a single banana will replace the potassium you lose from one to two hours of exercise. i.e. bananas are a great post-workout snack, especially in a smoothie!

Peanut Butter

Full of heart-healthy fats this spread will keep you feeling fuller for longer and is essential for repairing and building muscle. It’s also a great source of energy! Try this smoothie first thing in a morning to get your day started just right.

Hemp Powder

Need to turbo-charge your metabolism? This powder has got you covered. Hemp powder also reduces food cravings. This a great ingredient for your post workout meal as it provides the body with amino acids that organisms need to produce proteins.

Almond Butter

Clearing up any confusion, there’s no butter involved, its just crushed almonds. A small serving of almond butter contains a generous amount of magnesium which boosts heart health by promoting the blow of blood, oxygen, and nutrients and potassium, important for good blood pressure and heart health.

Cacoa Nibs

You know how you always hear that dark chocolate is good for you? That's because it contains more pure cacao than milk chocolate. These nibs are 100% cacao and they have a ton of antioxidants. Antioxidants help prevent skin damage and premature ageing. These nibs are also packed with fibre which makes them fantastic for your digestive system.

Dates

Dates are high in fibre, which is beneficial for preventing constipation and controlling blood sugar control. Dates provide various antioxidants that have a number of health benefits to offer, including a reduced risk of several diseases.

The greatest

Probably the greatest tasting peanut butter protein smoothie I’ve had in Joburg. At 500ml you get an amazing protein boost post work out. And it’s very quick to make in a nutribullet. Love this smoothie.
